Wind Speed


The SeaFlux Version 1 wind speed is available globally over water (no ice or land) every three hours from January 1, 1998 to December 31, 2007. The winds are a merged CCMP/SeaFlux wind product designed to provide the best possible wind estimate during all weather conditions.

Wind Speed – Based on the Cross-Calibrated Multi-Platform (CCMP) Ocean Surface Wind Components and the Neural Network retrieved SeaFlux Version 1.0 winds, the SeaFlux wind speed is an equivalent neutral wind at 10m. Units: m/s
